It is Appointed

Hovering between this present world and the world to come, Germanwings Flight 9525, provoked worldwide introspection.  "Life?"    “A vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away,” much as that airbus’s contrail after impact.

Everyone on that plane had an appointment: “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).

I say unto you, that he that hears my word, and believes him that has sent me, has life eternal, and does not come into judgment, but is passed out of death into life. I say unto you, that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead [in sin] shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that have heard shall live” (John 5:24-25).

Wonder not at this, for an hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs shall hear his voice, and shall go forth; those that have practiced good [having heard and believed], to resurrection of life, and those that have done evil, to resurrection of judgment” (John 5:28-29).

The Mystery of His Will

Thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity…” (cf. Isaiah_57:15); Who walks through eternity as we through a door.

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” (Isaiah 46:10).

Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him” (Ephesians 1:9-10).

And what is “the mystery of his will” for those “saved through faith” “that love God,” “whom he did foreknow” and “predestine”? But “to be conformed to the image of his Son” (cf. (Ephesians 2:8); Romans 8:28-29).

Iran's Non-Negotiable Pre-Condition!

US Secretary of State John Kerry today insisted that Tehran “to its credit has thus far lived up to every part of the agreement we made over a year ago.” But what “agreement”?
Geneva (11/24/2013) — Negotiations in Geneva over Iran’s nuclear program reached "critical mass" this morning at a predawn ceremony in Geneva’s Palace of Nations as diplomats "cowering" in Tehran's shadow signed the formal agreement recognizing Iran's right to continue enriching uranium,” Iran's non-negotiable pre-condition!
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, not party to the talks, asseverated that Israel was not bound by the agreement, restating that “Israel will not allow Iran to develop military nuclear capability,” and that Israel's only recourse may be to strike Iran, alone!

The unreported reality is that Iran "currently" has nuclear material, and will be unabated in enriching more. And once her pre-defined threshold of weapons-grade material is concomitant with political and military expediency, war-heads will be assembled from pre-fabricated and pre-tested modules, and docked with pre-prepared delivery systems within hours!
Regarding those in Geneva this very hour preparing a “pit” for Israel; into it they will fall:
For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called…. Behold, they [the nations] shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee [Israel] shall fall for thy sake (Isaiah 54:5-15).

A Diplomatic Blunder

When the World Passed by on the Other Side

The Hotel Royal, site of the Evian Conference on Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany. Evian-les-Bains, France, July 1938. — National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Md.

US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Geneva last night for closed doors talks with Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on a deal that would allow Iran to continue developing its nuclear capabilities. Capabilities that Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu insists “threaten” Israel’s “existence."

But the shores of Lake Geneva have long been a pleasant distraction while discussing “the Jewish question.”

"At the French resort of Evian on the shores of Lake Geneva in the summer of 1938, President Roosevelt initiated a nine-day international conference, supposedly to facilitate Jewish immigration from Germany and Austria.

Very important people were here and all the delegates had a nice time. They took pleasure cruises on the lake. They gambled at night at the casino. They took mineral baths and massages…some of them took the excursions to Chamonix to go summer skiing. Some went riding, some played golf. Meetings. Yes, some attended the meetings. But, of course it is difficult to sit indoors hearing speeches when all the pleasures that Evian offers are waiting right outside" (Rene Richier as quoted in Peggy Mann, When the World Passed by on the Other Side, Manchester Guardian Weekly, 7 May 1938).

Here are the recollections of an uninvited delegate, Golda Meir, former Prime Minister of Israel:

"… sitting there in that magnificent hall and listening to the delegates of thirty-two countries rise, each in turn, to explain how much they would have liked to take in substantial numbers of refugees and how unfortunate it was that they were not able to do so, was a terrible experience, I don't think that anyone who didn't live through it can understand what I felt at Evian – a mixture of sorrow, rage, frustration and horror" (As quoted in, The Evian Conference - Hitler's Green Light for Genocide, Annette Shaw, 2001, Quoted by permission of Stephen D. Smith, Director, Beth Shalom, (Letter 15/3/2000), Perspective, Vol. 1, Issue 1, July 1998, "Nobody Wants Them,” p. 21).

"At the end of the nine-day conference, Hitler had his Green Light" (Annette Shaw, The Evian Conference - Hitler's Green Light for Genocide, 2001):

"Nobody wants them' claimed the German newspaper Völkischer Beobachter after the Evian Conference in July 1938 and Hitler gloated, saying, 'It is a shameful spectacle to see how the whole democratic world is oozing sympathy for the poor tormented Jewish people, but remains hard hearted and obdurate when it comes to helping them." (Perspective, Beth Shalom, p. 21).

Media Zombies

Ahasuerus and Haman at the Feast of Esther, by Rembrandt

Media zombies continue to reiterate that Netanyahu's visit to Washington comes just weeks before Israeli elections, suggesting political motivation.

Yet, not one has advised that Netanyahu's appearance before a joint meeting of Congress to address the existential threat of Iran's nuclear program is on the eve of Purim.

The commemoration of that day in the ancient (453 B. C.) Iranian city of Susa (Hebrew Shushan) when Xerxes I:
took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews' enemy…. And the letters were sent by posts into all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to take the spoil of them for a prey…. The posts went out, being hastened by the king's commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink" (cf. Esther 3:10-15).
And in every province, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes…. Esther spake…unto Mordecai.…whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days. Then Mordecai… [answered] Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Then Esther [answered] Mordecai…. and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish” (cf. Esther 4:3-14).

Operation Babylon

Israeli Air Force F-16A Netz 243, flown by Colonel Ilan Ramon in Operation Babylon.

The lead F-16 Falcon lumbered forth from its subterranean vault onto the tarmac, spewing fire and smoke. 2,000-pound Mark-84s were positioned under each wing and the plane listed side to side as each munition was alternatively secured to the under-carriage. Improvised twin auxiliary fuel tanks hung pendent between the munitions. Eight more similarly configured Fighting Falcons soon completed the wedge formation and were joined by a contingency of six flanking F-15 Eagles.

And as the throttle of the lead Falcon was applied, the Pratt & Whitney F100 roared to life that late desert afternoon in June and raced down the air strip, but failed to lift off. Each Falcon was so overloaded with munitions and fuel, every structural specification was far exceeded. And the required powerplant thrust could only be achieved by the potentially disastrous transgression the turbine’s RPM red-line.

But, like the mythical Prometheus, the lead Falcon strained and screamed and trembled in agony as it struggled to break the chains that bound it to earth, until at last it was free….

On 7 June 1981 Israel carried out a “mission impossible,” terminating Saddam Hussain’s burgeoning nuclear program by destroying the French constructed Osirak nuclear reactor near Baghdad. For this the world is indebted to Israel for averting nuclear conflict for 34 additional years.

On 1 March 2015 it was reported that that US President Barack Hussein Obama countered a similar 2014 Israeli military response against the existential threat of Iran’s nuclear facilities by threatening to shoot down Israeli jets over Iraq in transit to Iran.
