Again Last Night

It happened again last night: "The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?" (cf. Luke 12:16-20)

Harpers Ferry in Retrospect

How "appropriate" for our President to confer this honor: Anarchist Harriet Tubman is to become the first "homegrown terrorist" on U.S. currency.

She was co-conspirator in John Brown's raid on the Harpers Ferry armory for which Brown was tried for treason, murder, and insurrection. Found guilty, he was hanged. Brown and Tubman's attempted subversion culminated in a war accounting for more American deaths than in all other U.S. wars combined!

Division

"What really bothers me the most... these days is this notion... that we’re going to win... by dividing people." (Speaker Paul Ryan).

Jesus came to divide light from darkness and truth from lies and good from evil.

"Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division" (Luke 12:51).

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword: (Matthew 10:34 ).

Paul Ryan, unfortunately, is the "antithesis" of light and truth and good!
