She was co-conspirator in John Brown's raid on the Harpers Ferry armory for which Brown was tried for treason, murder, and insurrection. Found guilty, he was hanged. Brown and Tubman's attempted subversion culminated in a war accounting for more American deaths than in all other U.S. wars combined!
