Shouts of Silence

Argentinian president, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner today condemned a recent march in honor of prosecutor Alberto Nisman as a politicization of the judiciary.

The Buenos Aires tribute to Nisman’s quest for justice lead by former colleagues and his 15-year-old daughter, despite the torrential downpour, was preliminarily estimated by police as exceeding 400,000. Many of those participating sheltered sheets of paper reading: “Shouts of silence” as they proceeded through the dark streets leading to Nisman’s former office.

Fernandez could face formal charges of complicity in an alleged cover-up of Iranian involvement in the 1994 bombing of the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AIMA, a Buenos Aires Jewish center).

Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face” (Psalms 89:14).
